Acapulco Day 1

ACAPULCO DAY 1 (Arrival to Acapulco)

so yes, here i am in mexico city airport, waiting for my parents, as well as for my flight to Acapulco. I find it ironic, so yes, my laptop has signal here to get online, which i find awesome, and well, im surrounded by mexicans (what was i thinking? JUST KIDDING). It doesnt feel like im in mexico, i find it ironic that there is a Mc Donalds, a Burger King, a Subway, a Sushi Place, a Place for wings and some other restaurant ... but no Taco Bell, now thats what i call irony.

So i havent slept at all for 48 hours now, my friend nick stayed the night last nght at my house so he could take me to the airport at 4 am in the morning, of course i didnt get any sleep, i was tossing and turning, nervous i guess , or just stressed maybe. That lady that rented our house arrived at midnight, so i helped her with the bags and showing her the house (which i spent the whole day cleaning). Ate Mcdonalds for breakfast, as well as something on the plane, and im still hungry. Its noon here, and still no sleep, i had the surprise that my last flight wasnt direct, we had to stop at Cancun, so i didnt fall asleep. I will try to fall asleep in my next flight, if not ill play on my brand new Sony PSP I feel weird for some reason here, i feel like people are watching me ... they all look the same to me, and i dont mean it in a racist way, like most of them are not skinny and same eyes and hair and skin color, i just find it odd ... My flight is in about 30 mins, and i still need to meet my parents, as well as i found out this airport is humongous and im in terminal 10, and the terminal i have to be in is terminal 24. Having said this, i will have to leave you, Acapulco, here i go! (cont ... to previous entry) So i met with my folks in the mexico city airport, after walking like 9 miles to get to my gate. Hadnt seen them in so long, and i was finishing writing my last entry when that happened. We ate lunch at that time and then proceded to board the plane. THANK GOD it was empty, i went to the back and grabbed 3 chairs for myself. The flight was 35 minutes long, i just played on my PSP and took some awesome pics:

Btw, who reads those little safety instructions on the planes anymore? hehe i actually like the mexican way of speaking spanish, instead of "mani" they say "cacahuates" tehee

So we arrived to this really small airport, no air conditioner, and well, to our surprise, my parent's bag didnt arrive ... that sucked. So we sticked around trying to look for them, and nothing. Then we left that area and proceded to a bar where we saw the ending of the soccer game, as well as the end of my hopes for holland to win. (16 BLOODY YELLOW CARD!?!?! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!) cant believe holland lost, they deserved to win. After that, we ran into some problems looking for a taxi, apparently these mexicans become agressive when they try to offer you a taxi ... go figure. We traveled through Acapulco to get to the resort, where i found out it is part Spa :-D yay me!
We got to our room, and instantly, i set up my computer, and voilah! internet works :)
Room is really big, im sleeping in this really uncomfy bed (its hard as hell) but its better than a lot of what ive had to sleep on before. We rested for a while, talked to people about activities to do around the area and such, and proceded to go to dinner at this not so fancy italian place called "Forza Italia", i had the Ravioli de Carne with Tomato sauce, really good (and this was the fourth time i had eaten that day, and i had dessert as well (apple stroudle))

We went back to the hotel, waited for my bed to come and for my parents bag to arrive as well, and here we are, my parents are fast asleep, and i cant wait to go to the beach tomorrow :) i will make sure i take A LOT of pictures hehe

these are two other pics i took (first one is the lobby, second one is the bed in which my parents sleep)
